Cleaning of wave soldering machines

To guide the assemblies through the oven during the wave soldering process, they are attached to the solder frames, which become contaminated during the flux and soldering process. The conveyor fingers, which guide the solder frames through the wave soldering system also become contaminated. If the conveyor fingers are clogged up with flux residues and gas emissions, they will  no longer have the necessary grip, thus resulting in unclean soldering.

ZESTRON offers an aqueous cleaning solution for the removal of the residues from the soldering waves, the inside of the wave soldering systems and the conveyor fingers. Unlike IPA, VIGON® RC 101 can also be used on hand-warm surfaces since it has no flash point.

Wave soldering systems are cleaned manually. The conveyor fingers can be cleaned automatically, whereby the cleaner is directly routed to the conveyor finger via a tank and applied with brush heads.
