2011 – The Year of Continued Differentiation:
More than Chemistry…
As 2011 progresses, I would like to pause and reflect on our business strategy and goals. ZESTRON is an R & D driven company. A strategic goal has been and continues to be the development and commercialization of products that are best in class, thereby meeting the cleaning challenges in the market and exceeding our customers’ expectations. When faced with a new market challenge, we focus our team and push for a solution. Product triumphs include FAST® and MPC® cleaning technologies. These were complimented in recent years with the release of pH-neutral products for defluxing and printer applications, cleaning agents designed for sensitive materials and others with low VOC content meeting the stringent environmental impact requirements of particular states.
We closed 2010 with record sales and this trend continues in 2011 enabling ZESTRON to maintain a global market leading position worldwide. We experienced strong sales increases throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. As a result of this activity and in order to more efficiently serve our international customer base, we aligned our South East Asia operation with its US based business.
This year, we will continue to push the envelope by adding to our pH-neutral product line and continuing our development of chemistries designed to perform at lower temperatures and concentrations. These goals will enable ZESTRON to continue to lead the market with greener products, reduce our customers’ cleaning costs and position ZESTRON for continued growth and profitability. This strategy strengthens our customer relationships and guarantees a prosperous future for our most treasured resource, our employees.
As we grow, we need to capitalize on our key core competency, our R&D capability, and yet continue to address ever changing market needs. This focus has enabled ZESTRON to develop and pursue a leadership role within our industry regarding education and training as it applies to the cleaning process. We understand that to provide our customers with the level of service and support they require, ZESTRON must offer ‘More than Chemistry’. This is a global challenge we have accepted and our commitment is exemplified by our five technical centers located on three continents, and our worldwide engineering and R&D staff.
Yes, 2011 is the year of ‘Continued Differentiation’ for ZESTRON in terms of product development, industry resources and our commitment to ensuring that cleaning excellence is achieved by our customers. Leveraging worldwide ZESTRON assets, our R&D and engineering staff services our customer base not only through the implementation of new cleaning processes and process optimizations on a daily basis, but also through basic research, presentations of white papers, on-site training, workshops, webinars, and multiplier collaboration.
Our customers have come to rely on this proven market approach enabling them to attain cleaning excellence and achieve peak process performance. Going forward, these activities will be broadened and our educational support offered to our industry through ZESTRON Academy.
As ZESTRON continues to grow, I am ever more aware of our social responsibilities as a corporate citizen. In the world we live in today, there is no shortage of social opportunities for companies. Previously, we have contributed to various local charities. Now, however, I have decided that ZESTRON needs to support Cystic Fibrosis (CF). My reasons are personal. Several years ago, the son of one of our team members was diagnosed with CF. This is a debilitating disease without a cure and with severely underfunded research. Our team member had to leave ZESTRON in order to care for his son and family. I decided to start the largest charitable program in our company’s history, namely a five year $100,000 donation to the CF Foundation.
ZESTRON thrives due to our people, our products and our unrelenting commitment to our customers. Thus, 2011 is the year of continued differentiation, not only for our product offering but also for our social commitment to our community and the CF Foundation.
Yours truly,
Harald Wack
