ZESTRON to Present at the Tampa Chapter-SMTA Industry Expo

The presentation will showcase the results of a study that was prepared to examine cleaning process benchmarking, i.e., how to compare established cleaning processes with newer process technologies. The speaker will present recent cleaning challenges including the removal of flux residues under challenging low standoff components such as 0603 chip capacitors, while using pH-netural defluxing agents as well as alkaline chemistries with reduced VOC levels. The objective is to assess their effectiveness and demonstrate any limitations, while adhering to higher environmental standards. To further explain and overcome the challenge of increasing VOC limitations, this presentation will also address experimental findings on vapor recovery methods presently used in the industry. The results will allow manufacturers to further enhance their respective cleaning processes while conforming to the latest environmental regulations.
