Naveen Ravindran, ZESTRON, Presents at Cleaning Reliability Workshops in California

Manassas, VA – May 31, 2016 ZESTRON, the global leading provider of high precision cleaning products, services and training solutions in the electronics manufacturing and semiconductor industries, is pleased to announce that Naveen Ravindran, M.S.Ch.E.,  Application Engineer, to present “PCB Reliability with No Clean and Water Soluble Fluxes” at California workshops, on June 7th and 9th.

Using No Clean and/or Water Soluble solder paste?   Trends within the electronics industry are increasingly moving towards miniaturized components, increased board density and reduced standoff heights, driving the need for precision cleaning regardless of the paste types used. For high reliability applications, cleaning is a requirement in order to prevent critical failure mechanisms. This presentation discusses the need to clean No Clean fluxes and the limitations of a water only cleaning system for cleaning Water Soluble fluxes.   In addition, the impact of thermal profile variation on PCB reliability and best practices for accurate concentration monitoring will be reviewed.

Naveen Ravindran, M.S.Ch.E., is an Application Engineer at ZESTRON Americas.  Mr. Ravindran is an active member of the SMTA as well as the IPC. He has contributed to multiple case studies performed in collaboration with major cleaning equipment manufacturers. He was instrumental in the extensive technical paper series “Key to Low Standoff Cleaning” as well as the lead-free and eutectic screening series completed at ZESTRON’s Technical and Analytical Center in Manassas, VA.  Mr. Ravindran graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Madras, India, and a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV. He has been with ZESTRON Americas since October 2006.
