This high-resolution analysis method provides a detailed determination of the ionic contamination (anions, cations and weak organic acids) on your assemblies. Critical substances such as bromides or chlorides and their quantity on the module can be determined exactly. Compared to simpler measurement methods, such as Contaminometers and Omegameters, ion chromatography allows a quantitative and qualitative resolution of single ions.
The evaluation is performed according to standards such as IPC CH-65B/ IPC 5704 or customer-specific specifications. Full board analysis is performed according to the test method IPC TM-650 2.3.28, and investigation of a local position on the board by C3-extraction is possible. The results are presented in a technical report.
