Well-founded. Reliable. Problem-solving - ZESTRON Analytical Centre

zestron Analytical centreWell-founded Results with Reliable Interpretation

At ZESTRON,

we provide a comprehensive cleaning evaluation using a diverse range of test methods, including optical, chemical, and physical analyses.

To ensure complete transparency and traceability, detailed technical reports that include visual evidence will be presented. Furthermore, our experts go beyond with assessment on potential implications of residual contamination to provide tailored recommendations for your cleaning process optimization.

CLEANLINESS ANALYSIS FROM A SINGLE SOURCE

We analyse the exact μm for you

Impurities from the production process, such as flux or particles, can greatly affect the functional reliability of electronic assemblies.

At our disposal, we employ a range of analytical methods to assist you in verifying the surface purity of your assemblies. On top of that, our team of experienced experts interpret the results from the measurement and data recording for you to address existing issues and optimize your process effectively.

That's why zestronYour advantages at a glance

  • Proof of surface cleanliness/quality for internal and external ISO audits

  • Security for warranty claims from customers and suppliers

  • Verifiable cleanliness for statistical process control

  • Assurance of the coatability and bondability of your assemblies

ANALYTICAL METHODSState-of-the-art Analytical Methods for Reliable Results

At ZESTRON, we utilize an extensive range of cutting-edge analytical methods and equipment to ensure the utmost reliability for our valued customers.

We employ not only the ionic contamination measurement using a contaminometer for purity determination but also the ion chromatography option for process validation and risk assessment.

Other analytical techniques includes utilization of the FTIR spectroscopy to characterize organic residues on surfaces, particle extraction and analysis in accordance with VDA19/ISO 16232 standards to ensure technical cleanliness, visual inspections using state-of-the-art optical and digital microscopes and qualitative thermal analysis aids to determining the presence of anions, cations, and weak organic acids.

zestron Analytical centreAvailable Methods for Purity Analysis

  • Ionic contamination measurement by contaminometer for cleanliness determination

  • Ion chromatography for process validation and risk assessment

  • FTIR spectroscopy: spatially resolved characterisation of organic residues on surfaces and identification of materials and substances

  • Technical cleanliness: particle extraction and analysis according to VDA19 / ISO 16232

  • Visual inspection by optical (80x) and digital (up to 1000x) microscope

  • Qualitative thermal analysis for the (qualitative and quantitative) determination of anions, cations and weak organic acids

  • Surface energy by contact angle measurement or ink test to determine bondability and coatability
