Airbus – Incorporates the Latest Technology for Cleaning-Bath Monitoring*

Abstract

The highest quality standards for the final product and maximum safety are key foundations of Airbus’ success. Accordingly, the entire production chain is subject to continuous monitoring and ongoing improvement.

In the manufacture of electronic assemblies, Airbus has long relied on cleaning to meet high quality requirements and ensure the necessary level of process reliability. In addition to a well-defined cleaning process, continuous monitoring of the cleaning bath is essential for achieving consistently high cleaning results.

Until now, the cleaning bath had been checked regularly, but only manually. By installing an automatic concentration measurement system, Airbus aimed to significantly improve monitoring of the cleaning process and further automate process control.

The whitepaper shows how Airbus integrated automatic cleaning bath monitoring into its existing cleaning process and what benefits this provides for process control and quality assurance.

Key Topics

  • The cleaning process at Airbus, Toulouse

  • Previous cleaning bath monitoring with limits
